Lumen Doll
The pieces that finish a coordinate — and the petticoat that decides whether the whole thing holds its shape by mid-afternoon.
Measure over the underwear you will actually wear, standing straight, with the tape flat and level. Then compare against the garment numbers on the listing — not against a dress size.
Around the fullest point, tape level under the arms. For a non-shirred bodice, choose a garment measurement 4–6cm above yours so the front does not gape between buttons.
At the narrowest point of your torso, usually just above the navel. Lolita waistlines sit higher than modern trousers, so a piece may fit at the waist and still feel high — that is intended.
Tea party shoes from the ateliers we stock run about half a size small and very slightly narrow. Each listing shows the insole length in centimetres; measure your foot against a wall and match the insole to your longest toe plus 0.5cm.
| Skirt length | Petticoat we suggest | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Under 55cm | Short A-line, 40cm | Soft bell, sits above the knee |
| 55–65cm | Standard A-line, 50cm | Classic tea-length silhouette |
| Over 65cm | Long tiered, 60cm+ | Full period shape, needs room to sit down |
